Uttaran, implementing livelihood and health interventions, through a 2 year program cycle aims to enable approximately 16,125 marginalized women-lead households living in 26 upazilas of Sirajganj, Pabna, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Shariatpur, and Chandpur escape the poverty trap.


SAJIDA wishes to  to build on and expand their long history of urban poverty focused work to reach even more urban extreme poor communities across Bangladesh.

The program focuses on developing farming and livestock rearing conventions in order to ensure food security and boost agricultural productivity thereby generating employment in rural areas.

This program addresses the needs of the elderly and chronically ill who often require compassionate health care at home; by creating a safe environment for loved ones, assisting with daily living activities, or nursing services with professional expertise such as airway management.
