“It has been an exciting, unique and exceptional journey so far. I got every opportunity to develop myself through practical learning experiences. I went through some world class training sessions along with guidance and mentorship from highly recognized leaders from the development sector. Working with talented and dynamic future leaders in a team is the best part of the program. I had full freedom to explore and express myself. I could not have asked for anything better than being a YP at SAJIDA Foundation. Looking forward to bringing some positive impact to the society through this program.”

“Since my bachelors, I always had the wish to work with underprivileged people of our country. I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work with the grass-roots, an experience though challenging at times, was invaluable in so many ways. I worked with a positive attitude, good work ethic and a willingness to get involved whenever I was needed which held me in good stead because not only did, I earn the respect of my colleagues, but I was given the opportunity to get involved, even more than I have ever imagined. From the beginning, I had three clear goals: 1. Put into context the theoretical knowledge I gained during my undergrad studies. 2. Make myself a valuable asset for the organization that I am currently working for. 3. Gain practical exposure from different operations to add to my CV. So far, I feel, I am on a perfect program on a perfect organization to achieve all three.”

SAJIDA Foundation gives the opportunity to meet extremely smart people from all classes around the country doing so many different things which is why I think being placed in a team of brilliant professionals really does create a motivating environment to work and learn. As a young professional, I hope to capitalize on my skill and knowledge to bring a valuable contribution to the organization knowing it will be part of a bigger impact. It is such a huge organization that it’s easy for a development professional to choose the exact niche that he or she wants to work in.

The Young Professional program in SAJIDA Foundation opened a whole new world for me with the scope to explore variety of social development sectors. The program has been a learning experience from the very beginning with extensive trainings, field attachments /assignments, building networks and mentorship from the experts. I am fortunate to be a part of several projects especially working in Microfinance, SAJIDA Hospital, along with “Amrao Manush” program which addresses the ever-growing issues of pavement dwellers of Bangladesh. Working as the Manager in a Microfinance branch was challenging yet enjoyable as I was entrusted with crucial responsibilities. Besides, the program is a gateway for me to get to know some of the most amazing and talented people around me and learn from their vast experiences. SAJIDA Foundation is indeed a place where every new initiative is encouraged and where mistakes are welcomed as one can learn from them for future betterment. I have grown so much within the last one year that now I feel no fear to face any future challenges and eager to grasp every opportunity to bring positive changes to this society we live in.

As a young professional, in this precious one year of field attachment, I have learned lots of new things. I have learnt how to interact with different people, experienced the whole operational mechanism of different programs and departments, especially working with Business Development team enriched my creative skills a lot. I also got the opportunity to visit different areas of Bangladesh to learn and explore new things. Apart from that, I got several trainings to nurture my interpersonal skills as well. Now, I have a better idea about SAJIDA Foundation as a whole and I am ready to serve this organization with my skills and knowledge.
