WASH4UrbanPoor project organizes “Training on Hygiene Promotion for School Teachers”

WASH4UrbanPoor organized a day long training titled “Training on Hygiene Promotion for School Teachers” on September 29, 2018 at the SAJIDA Foundation training center. Participation of school teachers for dissemination of improved WASH practices are one of the key factors to increase awareness on WASH practices, thus 18 school teachers ranging from Principal to Associate Teacher from three different schools were oriented on innovative practices and ideas to provide gender friendly sanitation facility and toilet accessibility for differently abled children. More importantly, they were briefed on menstrual hygiene management (MHM) awareness. Teachers participated enthusiastically and partook in developing maintenance plan of WASH facilities at their school premises.
