SAJIDA Foundation obtained DGHS approval and liaised with the local authorities of Jashore, Chuaganga, Pabna and Meherpur districts to provide skilled human resources, medical equipment and other logistical support to four 250-bed hospitals during the pandemic from June to October 2021. Furthermore, urgently required renovation work was done in the High Dependency and Intensive Care Units of these hospitals.
In all, 35 general beds were converted into semi-critical units and 5,705 patients were served. 209 staff were deployed (including doctors, nurses, and lab technicians) to provide uninterrupted service. SAJIDA and its corporate partners invested BDT 7.1 crore to this initiative.
