Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, SAJIDA converted its existing 50-bed hospital into a dedicated COVID-19 hospital. With support from Renata Ltd, SAJIDA invested over BDT 2.5 crore to set up a four-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 46-bed general ward in the 15,000 sq. ft. premises, with 44 general beds being converted into semi-critical units. The ICU consisted of ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, Bi-Pap and dialysis machines, and oxygen concentrators.

A total of 102 staff were deployed to ensure uninterrupted service. 1,003 patients from 39 districts across Bangladesh received quality COVID-19 treatment, completely gratis, at a cost of BDT 15.54 crore. 4,069 remote consultations were provided via the ‘Doctor 24×7' helpline, manned around the clock by nine registered doctors.
