SAJIDA’s Amrao Manush program inaugurates day-care centre in Chittagong

On 2nd September, SAJIDA Foundation opened a community based day-care centre in Chittagong Zautola Bazar, Pahartoly. Present at the inauguration were Honourable ward counsellors Mr. Alhaj Mohammad Hossain Hiron and Ms. Abida Azad, community leaders, project participants, and representatives of the Foundation. With the establishment of this new day-care centre, SAJIDA Foundation will now be able to extend essential services to another 25 children through its Amrao Manush program, which has been actively providing a variety of services to the urban extreme poor communities through seven Pavement Dweller Centres in Dhaka and Chittagong to ensure a life lead by health, happiness and dignity.

SAJIDA’s Amrao Manush Program currently provides day-care services to a total of 245 urban extreme poor and marginalized children.
