SAJIDA FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM TO END GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

SAJIDA Foundation, a long-term activist against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), started off the 16 days of Activism against Violence against Women on 25 November, with creating awareness among its employees followed by social media activation. SAJIDA has been an avid advocate against gender-based violence and through their Program Working with Women Phase Two, funded by SNV Netherlands Development Organization in Bangladesh, has been creating awareness, encouraging dialogue, and promoting physical and mental well-being of women in the RMG sector since 2018.

Alongside the regular program activities, the Foundation also held regular awareness sessions at the Head Office after their morning prayers, by touching up on the different aspects of Gender-Based Violence. Employees shared their opinions, experiences, and held brief discussions on the topics urging others to stand up against abuse of any kind. Moreover, a 2 Day Campaign was also held at the Gulshan Youth Club and activities will continue until the end of the 16 day long campaign on 10 December, 2019.
