To ensure sustainable health and nutritional development for the extreme poor through the implementation of “Smart Cards”, SAJIDA Foundation and Concern Worldwide inaugurated a three-year program titled “Promoting Sustainable Health and Nutrition Opportunities for Marginalized Urban Extreme Poor Population (PROSHOMON)” in Chandpur and Feni Municipalities under Chittagong Division on 11th and 19th September 2018 respectively.
Government representatives, NGO organization leaders, and various members of private clinic owners association as well as officials from Concern Worldwide and SAJIDA Foundation were present at this event. At the event, the district commissioner’s office said that local government support will be provided as much as possible, as long as coordination and transparency is available from all sides. They were eager to start the program as soon as possible as it will help a lot of marginalized people.
The PROSHOMON program aims to implement smart cards for sustainable health and nutritional development to the extreme poor. Under the project, the primary health and nutrition services will be provided to the marginalized population of the urban areas through health care card and other development related activities, including providing training in relevant institutions.
