During 22nd July to 1st August, 2018, a team from SAJIDA’s Amrao Manush Progam, including Dr. Najia Amin Salsabil (General Manager, ILUEP-Amrao Manush Program), Md. Faroque Miah (Project Coordinator, ILUEP-Amrao Manush Program), Julie Barua Asst. Coordinator attended a workshop on “Gender Transformation and Integration Workshop” organized by Concern Worldwide (CWW) at their Gulshan Office. CWW globally entered into partnership with Sonke Gender Justice in order to extend support towards work with equality, (in particular gender equality). Bangladesh is among ten countries selected for this partnership.
Sonke Gender Justice is a South African based agency that has been playing an active role in Africa and internationally in creating necessary conditions change necessary for men, women, young people and children to enjoy equitable, healthy and happy relationships that contribute to the development of just and democratic societies. As a part of this partnership, each country received capacity building support. The training comprised of modules on Gender Transformation, Enabling Change, Facilitating the change process, Community action Toolkit. The event was facilitated by Adele Fox, equality Advisor of CWW and two facilitators from Sonke Gender Justice, Nkonzo Khanyile and Vusi Cobekhulu.
