An update on SAJIDA’s Young Professionals Program

This September, two of SAJIDA’s Young Professionals, Shah Maruf Ehsan Siddique and Farjana Jaman visited all seven PDCs of Amrao Manush, situated in Dhaka and Chittagong for research purpose. They will be preparing a report based on the program’s need analysis, including different policies and protocols.

As for the others, Tasnim Islam Tushin and Zarin Tashfi Subah worked on bringing positive changes in SAJIDA’s healthcare services and improve quality of care in the hospitals at Keraniganj and Narayanganj.

Part of Farjana Yesmin’s attachment in WASH program led to two meetings on ‘Youth Volunteer Orientation’ at Citipolli community youth group and ‘School Hygiene Volunteer Group Formation’ at Sajahanpur Railway Govt. High  School where she has formed two youth groups to work with the program’s community mobilizer to follow up with their school and community.

Shahidul Islam Shakil and Shadab Shams Sowad are working in the Elder Care Program on a need analysis of assistive care in Bangladesh.

S.M. Mohammad Ullah and Hasib Ahmed are currently working with Microfinance Business Development Unit under the guidance of Mr. Tajwar Hoque. They are playing the role of Project Manager of Cashless Disbursement Project and handling cashless operation in 9 pilot branches.

The Young Professionals were also involved in various activities this month. They worked as volunteers in the training session of “Team Broken Earth”, and actively participated in the “FO Convention” at Savar. They also participated customized training session on Project Management Professional (PMP) dated 9, 10, 16 & 17 September, 2018. This training was exclusively designed for SAJIDA Foundation to learn the practical approach of project management in alignment with the Global Standard of Project Management.
